Provide a dedicated, college-specific space for students and alumni to share resources, mentorship, and job opportunities while keeping discussions scoped and safe.
SOLUTION
Built a lightweight, college-scoped social platform using Next.js and Tailwind for the frontend and Express + MongoDB for the backend. Implemented role-based access (Student / Alumnus), college-specific feeds, tagging, likes/comments, and optional job/event modules.

CHALLENGE
Create an approachable, mobile-first interface where users can browse adoptable pets, view details, filter/search, and complete an adoption request.
SOLUTION
Developed a responsive React app with Tailwind CSS. Used Context API for state, React Router for routing, and a simple Express/Firebase backend for storing pets and adoption requests. Included filters, detailed pet pages, and an adopt flow.

CHALLENGE
Help teachers automatically evaluate free-text student answers with consistent scoring and actionable feedback, while keeping costs and latency reasonable.
SOLUTION
Built a Flask backend that accepts questions and student submissions, constructs configurable evaluation prompts, and calls the OpenAI API to return a numeric score + short feedback. Results are stored in SQLite (or Postgres in prod) and surfaced in a teacher dashboard. Auth via Flask-Login and optional admin controls.
